Volunteers are the lifeblood of HAM children's home!

They are indispensable for the implementation in of all the home's programmes in order to ensure the best possible care for the children.

Volunteers work under staff supervision and are involved in all programmes such as:

  • Management
  • Administration
  • Logistics
  • Fundraising
  • Professional services (childcare, therapy, after- school programmes)
    • After-school classes e.g. maths, science, accountancy and subjects according to the children's needs
    • Reading and language for younger children
    • Arts & craft programmes
    • Recycle programmes
    • Vegetable garden programmes
    • Sports programmes
    • Spiritual programmes
    • Recreational/youth development camps and programmes
    • Leadership and development programmes
    • Needlework for girls
    • Youth development programmes
    • Therapeutic and development programmes

  • The second step is to complete an application form
  • The following documents are required when applying to be part of our volunteer programme:
    • Completed application form (including references)
    • A certified copy of your ID
    • A valid police clearance certificate
