At the end of the year, there will be children leaving the CYCC as their home for the past few years. Some of them grew up in the CYCC as from 2/3 years of age and are now going into the adult world with the same needs as a child from a family home.
Like any parent we are sad and also excited at the thought of the big step. We believe that we have given them roots to help establish them in the world and that it is now time to give them wings to fly in pursuit of their dreams.
To make this new journey just a little bit easier we would love to give each of them a “going away hamper”.
This hamper is to help them with their basic needs at the exhilarating and scary time of their lives.
Objectives - Give our school leavers a chance to make a difference by providing them with all the tools needed to succeed
